(7") Here is the debut 3-song release from Asheville, NC's FLIES AROUND IT. While this is definitely throwback emotional hardcore, it is not a clone. Sure, this could've pretty easily fit along with many bands on the early-mid 90's Gravity Records roster, but something with this sort of raw, fierce emotion doesn't seem to pop up anymore. Think if Unwound in '91 were listening to lots of Husker Du's Zen Arcade and getting heavily into guitar pedal experimentation. Half of this group are either current or past members of Kakistocracy. This is also the only recorded evidence of ex-drummer Steve Ritt (Brainworms, Flesh Eating Creeps).
